Third party marketers (3PMs) are outsourced sales and marketing firms dedicated to helping investment managers raise capital. If you are a mid-sized or smaller asset manager with an established track record, a specific, differentiated and scalable investment process, and little to no human capital for sales and marketing, you might want to investigate if a 3PM is right for you, and vice versa.
